The new Federal Tax laws are also affecting many in New York State . Income and Property taxes are higher here than in Connecticut. The maximum Federal Tax itemized deduction for income and property taxes is currently capped at $10,000. Thus one's federal tax liability can increase by a substantial amount as compared to prior tax years.

Why not? I also went to the University of Pennsylvania. BSEE magna cum laude, 1985. I have 9 Band DXCC and WAS. And written about a hundred technical articles. ;)

No state income tax in Florida and real property taxes are much lower than the Northeast.

The search for a new CEO in any organization is such a pain.

Step up to the plate, Zack!! You live right there in Newington. Of course, if the salary is right.

Given the Board of Directors, Code of Conduct, good luck getting an answer to that question.

"Gallagher, 69, cited recent changes included in the new federal tax law that made it unattractive for him to continue working in Connecticut, where ARRL is headquartered. "

I concur. Let him bow out gracefully, it is a thankless job and I am sure there was some good from his tenure.

We are now at a crossroad and need to put our differences aside as there is fault on both sides of the fence (presumptuousness, laziness, self servitude). If we fail to learn or build something from this experience, we will reap what we sow (potential spectrum grabbers and public officials have been watching, don't kid yourself).

He may have had some help in the form of a plank erected over the side.

I am "North" of 70 and the New Federal Tax Laws benefited me.
That statement about the Federal Tax Laws ludicrous.
Anyone who had invested wisely in their past has benefited.
But I was never a "Banker" or a PBS Employee.
In reality the translation should read "Recently he has found the membership of the ARRL taxing"....
Just my two cents.....an yes, I am an ARRL Member....
