Yes to SSB, yes to something we haven’t got… 6; 2; 70; 23 all mode… Lately, I’m feeling like Yaesu are answering questions no-one is asking…
Yeah, it's hard to understand why they don't go to memory banks since their customer base has been complaining/asking for them for so many years.
Apparently the new ftm-500 will have double the audio output with 6 watts, whereas the ftm-300 has 3 watts.
Same kind of memory, but different ways of separating the memory into specific groups. Several groups rather than just having A & B.
How about a 200 W mobile currently I am using a Kenwood TS 480HX . I use to use the 857D But found the Kenwood is a better mobile radio
I'm new, about to get my first real VHF/UHF rig, so the 500 looks interesting. (Pricey, but interesting.) I've read this thread twice and it is still a bit confusing, so what are the real differences? Here's what I've been able to figure out and please, correct me if Im' wrong. 500 has head mounted mic and speakers, 300 mounts them to the main body. 500 has touch screen, but not as big as the 400 300 comes with bluetooth 500 comes with the programming cable Are there any transmit/receive differences? (If there are, I'm sure they covered but I'm still awash in abbreviations so I've missed them.) If it comes it at $600 USD and you don't want bluetooth and you do want the programing cable, then the 500 seems to be the one. If it comes it at $700 then then 300 just might be the one.
