    If you don't want it, don't enter. I don't understand how people can complain about a prize drawing that is optional to enter.

    In the past, you didn't have to be there to be a grand prize winner but, in poking around the Hamvention web site, can't find any info indicating grand prize winner attendance required for this year.
    The hourly drawing prizes require you to be there to get your prize.

    I could not afford or even have room for the appropriate antenna system. But it is fun. I think I won something at the drawing in 1974. A box of transistors.
