    Hello Operators
In todays video, I head out to the forest with the Yaesu FT-891, and a new antenna called the EMCOMM 3 Portable from Chameleon Antenna. My goal was to find and test an easy to deploy d NVIS configuration, which could be deployed out of a backpack. If it works well, I plan on using this configuration for local communications in Scandinavia and the nearby Baltic countries, during grid down scenarios.

Purely by habit, I started the day at 5 Watts. By the end of the session I was at 20 watts, which seemed more than adequate for my goals. I setup the EMCOMM 3P horizontally, at about 10 feet, between two Birch trees, using a counterpoise on the ground directly underneath, to act as a reflector.
It's a short video, but viewers have asked for more of these operational videos, augmenting my longer more in-depth videos.
