Where is there a Radio Shack with components, tools, and the like? There may be a R.S. version 2.0 that sells wireless phones, computers, and other modern appliances; but show me one with 60/40 rosin core solder and breadboards.

FT818 makes a great radio for me when operating in the camper on battery mode. How it operates with low current to monitor is very nice too. Great option. Nice to hear they make a replacement so day but I am not in the market. I still learning how to operate the FT818.
