No, the 705 will do 10W "on battery" assuming you mean an external battery like you are using for your Xiegu.

It's only limited to 5W on the internal battery, which is lower voltage.

Correct, I meant internal battery (ie the one that clips on the back) as opposed to the DC in (which is also used to charge the removable battery).

 

Just checked mine on a meter, 0.52a draw on receive with the volume low.

 

Please stop buying (or even advocating for) products from China.

While I share the sentiment, that's actually, if not impossible, at least almost impossible. A lot of Japanese companies have factories in China too so the brand doesn't necessarily indicate the country of manufacture.

Real friendly advice, delete it and do another one, properly this time, with a wider viewing angle, keeping the camera/phone steady and not flipping it to the side at one point. Look at the phone screen while recording.
