Has something changed recently with the RSS Feed for the forums? Usually get many topics every hour or so, but for the past several days I only see one or two. I've deleted and resubscribed a couple of times with my Thunderbird email/feed program on Win 10 but still seeing very few topics. Thanks in Advance Dave - K1DJE
When you use the Thunderbird RSS Feed thingy, does it actually log in to QRZ.com, or just to Thunderbird? I don't use an aggregator (or RSS very much, for that matter), but I'm sure this is the explanation for your issue: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?th...-connection-errors.813986/page-2#post-6199808 As usual, I may not be correct, but it seems like the best way to explain the change in behavoir. Thanks, David! I saw that post during my search before posting this but didn't think it was related, since I get no errors. At least I know it isn't a problem at my end! 73 Dave - K1DJE
It's probably because of the recent change that requires you to be logged in to see the forums, see this thread- https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/forums-occasionally-getting-db-connection-errors.813986/ If so I don't think there is a fix for it. This same issue came up a while ago when the swapmeet was restricted to logged in members, it killed the RSS feed for those forums.
RSS isn't working as many RSS feeds do not validate. As example this link ( https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/antennas-feedlines-towers-rotors.33/index.rss) gets: Sorry This feed does not validate. Server returned HTTP Error 403: Forbidden [help] line 2, column 0: Undefined root element: errors [help] <errors> In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation. "text/xml" media type is not specific enough [help] Source: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/antennas-feedlines-towers-rotors.33/index.rss <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <errors> <error><![CDATA[The requested page is unrepresentable as RSS.]]></error> </errors>
