What does the price translate to in USD?

From what I've read, somewhere around $1200 to start. Like all new Icom releases, it will sell at or even above MSRP in the first wave, then start dialing down. Probably within a year it will hit the $999 level I would guess

Best Un-Boxing video I've ever seen, it has to be when it starts out "First of all, This is a BOX"; HA !

Waters and Stanton announced it would sell for 1299 pounds in Great Britain, that translates to approximately $1540 USD. The 1299 may contain VAT

Fun to watch unboxing. But I'm not sure about the background music, sounds like "Bridge Over The River Kwai". (ouch!)

You will not pay the equivalent in USD, I would imagine USD1200 going by the way the U.K. is always ripped off with exchange rates.

I'm pretty sure that a normal guy would have stopped at removing the battery and connected it to the radio and turned it on before doing anything else. I know there is now what I wouldn't have done that.

Seems like the right thing to buy for QRP'ers, yet the price will be high
    Thanks for the unboxing

From what I've read here it translates to "cheese."
