The only problem I see with this idea is that YOTA is already used for Youth On The Air (many of which I have made contacts with). I would try to change your acronym.

I looked some synonyms and got these:
    • courtyard
    • grass
    • lawn

    • The only one that I thought was OK is COTA for courtyard. or maybe Clearing. The latter maybe a bit corny I don't know.
Another one could be LOTA for a lot
    Just my 2 cents-hihi.

LOTA - Lawns On The Air?

LOMOAHOTA - Lazy OMs Outside At Home On The Air? :D

I like the idea too - will do it when spring weather allows. Way too darn cold now!

I worked "Metra Mobile" on the Milwaukee District West Line using my FT-60.

Got into one of the local repeaters on 2 meters -- from the lower deck of a double-decker commuter car.

Had a window seat. But still amazed to get out through all that steel!

How about if you open the window in your house and just stick your head out. Under the rules is that operating in the yard?

I've done Lawns On The Air in the late 1970s from my front lawn in Philadelphia. It was a Field Day. Dipole in a dogwood tree. Now the old tree is held up with guy wires.
