    Steve ....
LOL I have been on all bands daily as my log clearly indicates
As stated I have not heard SA this cycle which is evident by my log
Europe is a a daily occurrence for us here in The Pittsburgh Tri-State Area
I am very happy to hear that you are making contacts into SA almost daily
I hope my post does not offend anyone
I am only stating what is my reality
Hope you are on 15m 21.300 around 1500UTC

No difficulty hearing SA stations here in Kansas! They are on the air every day. *puzzled* Try the upper bands 15m and higher. The greatest activity is on FT8.

    p.s. I don't have a superstation, just a 160m doublet up 20 feet.

I work Brazil, and Argentina so easily with my wire antenna it’s almost boring at this point

If you never hear Helio down in Brazil it’s your antenna

Transequatorial (TE) enhancement on 10 meters is your friend. Granted it's more pronounced on lower latitude paths, but still a viable mode at higher latitudes.

At least where I live (Seattle area) South America is almost a band-wide QRM source some days - especially late in the afternoons on the upper bands these days. Especially Brazil.

Must just be "propagation pipelines" and we've got a water main from SA to the Northwest, and you've got a drinking straw :)

Point you antenna South, the trans-equator is always there. Even during the solar minimum, I was working stations in the summer time everyday. The big difference is now the signals are really strong even to non directional antennas.

    Have fun and great DX

My openings towards US on 10m starts at about 15:30 EST. Being so close to the South Pole, means that the upper bands are in a really rough shape from the last few days, but still, you should be able to hear Brazil easily
