    Hi

    The Alpha Delta cant save you from a direct strike as you probably know. Like you I always disconnect especially in Florida.
    Call FPL they have for a few dollars a surge protector that goes on the Power meter it has saved me a fortune over 30 years.

    Thought you were in Florida but check with local Electric Utility they might have a similar device for the meter.
