I discovered that images I linked from my own website in my QRZ bio-page are not displayed anymore. When I tick on a broken image in my bio and want to open in a new tab of my browser, the image is showed. So the links are good. Tried also with different browser without succes. The pictures stored on the QRZ-server are displayed. Was there a change in options in QRZ.com that I missed? Or has anyone noticed the same issue? Help is welcome! 73 PD3RFR
There haven't been any recent changes on QRZ that should affect this, but it may be dependent on the browser you're using. In looking at your profile page, I can see that you have mixed content which means some of what you're displaying is from an HTTPS source and some is only from an HTTP source. As time goes on, this is becoming less and less acceptable to the point that some browsers aren't even displaying mixed content. Anything on a QRZ server is HTTPS. Anything externally may or may not be. You can read more about the mixed content issue here: https://www.qrz.com/docs/bio-pages/mixed-content
Thanks for that prompt explanation and link, Steve. Though not the OP, I'm interested in such things. 73.
Here's a great tutorial about adding and editing photos - https://www.qrz.com/page/pictures.html Generally, using Upload a File works while using a link can be problematic.
I have tried the http and https options to get it right. Now I uploaded all my pictures to QRZ and selected it from there. I think this is the best way for now.
