Witaj. Dzisiaj właśnie przeprprzeprowadziłem QSO z L1BB i poza tym, że jest z Argentyny też nic więcej nie wiem

Just because he doesn't have a QRZ bio page doesn't mean you can't log him. No, he won't be confirming the contact on the QRZ log - but you merely say you "cannot log the contact" when in fact you can log the contact.

In searching around, I find zero references of any kind to L1BB anywhere. Could be a very inactive ham, or could even be a pirate station - someone who is pretending to be licensed as L1BB. It's an unusual call sign for sure - but would be Argentina if it's valid.

Argentina is not a rare DX so you should certainly be able to work many other stations to get that country confirmed

@SP5SOP Did you happen to get a name?
This is a year and a half old thread but it may very well be LU1BB.

Glad you addressed it. L1BB/LU1BB still shows up regularly so perhaps SP5SOP can shed some light on it.

Unfortunately, I haven't learned anything more at the moment.

Hi everyone! New joiner here, LU1BB was my grandpa. I googled his identification number and found this thread where you're talking about him. Let me know if you have any questions (even though a lot of years passed!)

The callsign LU1BB is not currently listed with ENACOM, the Argentinian amateur radio licensing authority.
