In celebration of the 66th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day , the Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard will be sponsoring the annual military/amateur radio cross band communications test.

Savannah’s Coastal Amateur Radio Society will be participating and the general public is invited. CARS will gather behind the aquarium building on the river bank and set up and operate several portable stations. Generators and batteries will be used for radio power with temporary antennas hung up in the trees. This will be a fun day and a great opportunity to learn about Ham Radio and how important it is for communications during emergencies. Refreshments will be available and there is no admission fee. Bring your family there are plenty of picnic tables and we encourage you to visit the museum while here.
