Hi all - Announcing the KK4DAS Blog documenting my adventures in amateur radio. My first series of posts covers the recently completed homebrew build of N6QW, Pete Juliano's SimpleSSB 40 meter SSB and digital model transceiver. I've had the rig on the air for a little over a week and have made about 20 contacts ranging from down the street to 800 miles - all at 3 watts or less! Over the coming weeks I plan to document the build board by board with videos, pictures and many, many lessons learned. This was my first homebrew project of any complexity and I hope my experience will encourage others to pick up a soldering iron and give it a try. Because, if I can do it, you can!
