Most issues I found with others using Wolf river coils is a a complete lack of understanding. It wasn't designed for high power or running 100 watts digital. If you want that spend some money.
For the price and performance WRC cannot be beat.

I recently purchased the Wolf River Platinum 1000 coil.
I do have an issue with it.
But Wolf River will not respond to my emails or return my phone calls.
I talked to Gary once and he said he would take care of it.
He never did take care of it, nor will he now answer my phone calls or respond to my emails......
The coil "may" be okay, but my experience shows that they will not support their product.......
I think I may have found a better coil in the "REZ Antennas" coil.
Better materials and more robust construction.

I purchased the Platinum version of the SB-1000 coil and TIA kit. The Platinum version can handle LOTS of power,
hundreds of watts SSB and 100 watts digital. It feels like it might be a ceramic coil form. That would explain it.

@W5WTR - Regarding loss of contact with the company, the main employee had a medical issue and they were
not taking orders for a while. They are back now. I found multiple replies to questions, even before purchase,
were always returned within 24 hours.

I have had zero issues with my silver bullet WRC. I just spent two hours at 90 to 100 watts SSB and 75 watts CW on 20 and 40 meters and the contacts were excellent. Checking the coil from time to time it was never even warm. I did spend the time with an SWR meter to make sure it was tuned properly beforehand. I think that makes a big difference. Here is just the 20 meter contacts @ 90 to 100 watts.

I would try them again, I know they were dealing with a prolonged illness but are back in action.
