If you have a profile on QRZCQ you can list yourself as "on-air" so others can find you. But as Bill said, folks don't usually 'spot' themselves. Good luck !
Regardless of the purpose it's considered poor form. That's not what the spotting networks exist for. Calling CQ is the proper way to "reach out". Self-spotting just clutters the already-busy network. Unless you're DX, your odds of getting ANY callers are very slim unless you have some really special aspect such as rare state, rare grid, or other attribute that other stations might be seeking. If you are a calling station, self spotting is not a good thing. The accepted / by the numbers method of Being spotted, Is to have someone that Worked You spot you. This gives others the opportunity to see where your signal is being heard. There are other reasons, but I will not take up your time with them. The responses you have received are correct...Self Spotting is Not The Thing To Do
