Good Evening, My vanity callsign K4MPS was issued on Thursday 8.30. It appears as though the FCC daily data download for that day was corrupted and had no one's updates included for the day. Now, on Sunday 9/1 the weekly data download (which includes 100% of the licenses) shows that my vanity was processed. The issue is theres is no daily download that has this reflected and there never will be. What do we need to do to have QRZ reflect that my callsign has changed to K4MPS from KZ4JT due to this FCC data failure. I have been withholding making any transmissions or calls this weekend because everyone who looks me up will think I will be Maureen Gabe (the old owner of the callsign), and even though AE7Q correctly reflects that I am K4MPS now because they use the weekly FCC download, QRZ still hasn't updated my callsign. Am I stuck forever with KZ4JT or will QRZ process the weekly file tomorrow? Again the daily one was corrupted and there will NEVER be a daily file that shows I am now K4MPS if thats what the system looks for. Thanks Mike Shields K4MPS
Got a reply from volunteer database admin / moderator on another forum - apparently K4MPS is still associated with another person's account (k4MPG), it needs to be unlinked from that account and then linked to mine (KZ4JT). Then my username and callsign need to be changed to K4MPS by QRZ administrator. I submitted a trouble ticket for this in hopes that it can be executed and my callsign properly changed.
Please be patient. We've seen your posts on multiple threads and your support ticket. QRZ is a small team and the members who will need to correct this for you are in a time zone where it is still very early in the morning on a holiday. The daily update does occasionally fail and QRZ does use the weekly report to correct such issues, but this occasionally requires manual intervention to correct which is the case here. Your issue will be resolved yet today.
Thank you very much sir it is much appreciated, I appreciate the acknowledgement that it is indeed an issue, and will hold tight while it's looked at.
