Back on New Year's Day I had a chat with a very nice gentleman in the UK. I didn't log it on QRZ because we were in REF30C, me via a 2-meter repeater in Indiana and him via a 70cm repeater in England. Recently I discovered a confirmation request from him on QRZ. The dates and times match but of course the frequencies don't, so it seems that my only option is to mail him a QSL card specifying a 30 Charlie contact. Doing so, if I understand correctly how QRZ works, would not give him any QRZ credit. Am I correct? Any other useful thoughts? --Noel N9CJT
That's known as an 'Assisted Contact' and does not count for QRZ Awards. You can log it electronically, if you wish, as VK5OHR suggested. https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?th...onformation-for-contacts.845445/#post-6410461
