Alright since we are reminiscing about old AZ hamfest then I'll go way way back to the late 1970's. I miss the South Mountain hamfest, my first 10 meter FM ht was a HT220 found in an old dusty box, crystaled on 29.5 and 29.6, now the 70's hamfest were the best but yes I sure miss Ft. Tuthill from the 80's to the late 90's.
