I tried to go through this for my daughter to get her into the hobby. But some of the requirements made it a little hard to get this. Young amateur wanting to start need to provide some things that aren't eligible for them(like a drivers license number or other items that my daughter doesn't have). Would there be a way that we could provide like a way to make it an easier option for them. If not, I understand I don't want to disrupt the whole program, just a thought. Something like a notarized letter validating that this person is who they say they are and are associated with the callsign that they are applying for would be an option, that while still having to go through some hoops would make it more attainable for some people. Howdy -- last week, I submitted the application form for the Jumpstart program, and the response was to return back to the "blank" form. I haven't heard anything via email or other ... is something broken, or do I just need to be patient? Edit: Strike the above -- I just double checked, it seems the file size of my photo-id was stupidly large. After reducing that down to something reasonable, the submission came through with a proper response of being received. Thank you all for the great program and extending it after the multi-week wait to get my callsign
Good day, Any idea if this is going to be extended into 2024? The program has been amazing for so many new HAMS, and we thank you for this. I am a Team Lead for a weekly testing group, and we always notify our new HAMS about this wonderful program. So, we are curious if this next Saturday (12/23) should be the last week we notify our applicants. Thank you, Dave AD4VE
I think there should be a discount option for clubs (with purchase limits) so that clubs can pass them out to new licensees.
I submitted a jumpstart application and uploaded my photo ID, but, nothing else has happened. I am not sure if it simply takes a bit of time, or if something borked. Can you advise what the normal timeframe is so that I can deteremine whether I should submit a new application? Thanks so much.
The "discount" is already built-in - for EVERYONE who qualifies. Just tell the members of your club that get their first license to "be sure to go on QRZ and sign up for the QRZ-1 Jumpstart program with a great discount on a really cool radio" Dave W7UUU

Program was a joke tbh they picked and chose who got the radios.. Sad to I know about of kids I had interested but they never came
