I just found out about this program. My license was issued Sept 17th so I was rejected from the program. Only 2 days past the 30 day limit. How about a break? KE8VQL
Got mine recently and love it. The only critique I would give is to use the GM-15 Pro / UV-13 Pro batteries which are the same and USB-C rechargeable. Would recommend QRZ/Gigaparts change to this design Thanks, QRZ and Gigaparts for the great radio!!!! 73
Thanks QRZ for making this program available. I just go my new license a week ago as a result of this promotion. One week left to go on the program and I hope other people take advantage of it before it disappears.
Hello, are there any available yet? I meet the eligibility but it keeps telling me I don't. Didn't know if that meant they were all gone or something?
Did you follow the directions to register on QRZ? When you do you will receive an email with the code to use when checking out of GigaParts.
I got my license yesterday and I’ve made an account and stuff, but I’m getting a message saying “Sorry, this program is only available to Amateur Radio Operators whose (first) FCC license was issued within the past 30 days.” Edit: just saw the post saying to contact the help desk
It would be nice if it was available to Canadian New Amateur Radio operators, my daughter was a new operator, and took her radio to school to show her friends and the teacher confiscated it and the principal didn't want to give it back, this same a h also complained about grade 4 students playing musical instruments like violin, and guitar in the lunch room
Wow!! Sorry that this kind of BS happened to your daughter. I thought BS like this only happened in the US. Hopefully you were able to get her radio back.
I received my Radio on the 28th and made my first contact yesterday. It's been great to have something to start out with that isn't complicated and works well! I took my test on Saturday 10/22/22 and received my free radio on Friday 10/28/22. Such a fantastic program that really got me in gear to get licensed! Thanks to all of you that made this possible! Hopefully they can run this program again at a future date to get more people to join the hobby!
