The Annual 12 Days of Christmas Special Event is once again on the air from December 14th through Christmas Day, December 25th. This wonderful multi-op international event hosted by K2RYD and NO2C of the Great South Bay ARC returns to the airwaves after missing 2021 due to Covid issues. There will be operators spread across the US so some calls may have a /# for call areas Other than Area 2. They All count towards the Clean Sweep so collect them all. Each call has its own QRZ page with QSL info. This year expect a beautiful certificate whether you get just 1 or all 12, you'll get the certificate. I'l try some AM on 40 and 75 during the event. I can muster a 50w carrier with peaks to 200 and have easily gotten into PA like that.
Not really, I got calls from CT, DE, MD last night and in the same time frame - CA, MT, SD and even HI - on both 20 and 40 m
NC is like a neighbor to NY! I regularly talk to NC, SC, GA, TN, KY, FL, LA, VA and really anywhere when out doing POTA activities. I put on W2T from a NY park last night and got 37 states. It's the license though - most of all contacts are on 15 through 80 meters, unlikely to get on 10m but I'll give it a try so if the timing is right you just may pick one of us up.
Yup, just 10m for me. Only 1 or 2 contacts from NY. But those were on CW 40m anyway. Haven't talked to anyone in NY for about 4 or 5 months.
I got a RI station as well as some MA and DE on 75m this evening as W2T Neil. And strangely a few from CA and WA! Conditions never fail to be amazing when you least expect it.
