Is this a joke or a non working trivia system. PSK31 is a digital mode, NOT a rare DX station is Asia. I missed the humor. I quit after that question.

No doubt. I quit for the day after that one.

I guess it's still "modern", although PSK31 is over 20 years old.

For sure there are some wrong "correct answers" in the quiz - a great one today:
    PSK31 is...
chosen answer: A: A modern digital mode.
"correct answer": D: A rare Asian DX station.

    ???????????????

I think the exact ship, date, and location are controversial - but it was 1909 as far as I understand. :)

The first time the 'SOS' signal was used in an emergency was on 10 June 1909, when the Cunard liner SS Slavonia was wrecked off the Azores. Two steamers received her signals and went to the rescue.
This is not one of the choices.

You are right, it was wrong on the PSK 31 question
Potential question what happened on November 22 in the 1960s that had a huge impact on only amateur radio.
I will supply the answer and documentation if you use the question

Great job, guys! This quiz made me laugh, especially the following "answers"
    Detailed Results:

    Question: PSK31 is...

Your Answer: A modern digital mode.

Correct Answer: A rare Asian DX station.
(Phase Shift Keying 31 baud. PSK31 is a digital mode that requires only a computer, a sound card, your rig, cabling to move audio between your rig and computer, and FREE software. It is narrow (31.5 HERTZ!) and requires very little signal strength for a solid copy.)

    Q384.6

Question: In what year was the first SOS signal transmitted? Â

    Your Answer: 1912

    Correct Answer: 1915
(On April 15, 1912. TITANIC struck an iceberg and sank. Thanks to wireless, and the first SOS in history, 713 lives were saved. Before SOS, there was also CQD (CQ Distress). Â )

It was November 23 where I was at the time, and I was the first one on my ship to know … via commercial press stations on TTY.
