Keep up the good work. It is starting to look real good. The Hot DX on the left would be better in its own box, or on the right, It makes me scroll left and right. Thanks for all of your work.
You "ruined" my test thread by becoming a part of the result? Seems everyone there are a few here, who are mod wannabes. The test area is just that--a TEST AREA. Viewing it is optional.
If JEF likes it then I'll have dislike it without even looking at it....isnt that the way most book and movie reviews go in your crowd? OTOH I will try to take some time later to actually look at the work
I've been checking all of the settings on my Galaxy S7 smartphone since all of a sudden the font in the forums got so small that I have to magnify it to comfortably be able to read it. Nothing that I could do corrected the problem. I then started looking for settings on QRZ and couldn't find a way to fix the problem. Then, I found this thread and figured it out. The font issue started coincidentally the same time the site was redesigned. It's almost unusable on my smartphone anymore. Since I use it mostly for this site I think that I may stop visiting the zed as much as I did previously. It's not fun anymore when it gets frustrating to use.
Thank you for the feedback, What resolution are you viewing the site in? (http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com will tell you if you don't know)
No, apparently it was not on my phone. Something changed on the forum about the time that I reset the default font in the phone. I went back to the previous settings and the forum is still OK.
Looking good! Noticing incremental improvements now. Change is good. One thing I did like before was the swap meet items opening up in new tabs. 73, Steve
This was not an intentional change, I have fixed it in our working copy and the change should make its way live in the next couple of days, if not sooner.
I like the larger photos of the popular swapmeet items, but the overall layout and design gives me a headache. It's too busy.
Looks like the feature ham/member is now back and working properly in a familiar location. Well done on that!
George at al, My date is literally years down the road - which bodes well for Fred and company by providing ample opportunity for site "reform". Yes, I can't renew under these circumstances. A Gold standard was built on the previous foundation of a usable and enjoyable user interface. With that gone, the Gold standard will be in jeopardy of being replaced by competition. Other than a lot of hard work, there is nothing irreplaceable here. The cost of membership isn't steep - however, some reasonable level of value must be returned for the monetary support. Very sad.
