I fought through this process twice in the past year or so. The first time (mine) it took about 2 hours. The second time (daughter) it took half a day with multiple calls to FCC. The first two reps we talked to couldn’t figure it out. Number 3 rep knew about a work-around on their end that made it work. Very frustrating. Glad W5YI is back in the renewal process. That’s good news. Sure wish they had been last year. $45 admin processing fee for a once-in-a-decade process is something I would have gladly paid. One more thing in life that was transformed from easy to not.

Amazing.....Renewed my Wife's license about a month ago, using the ULS system. No problem that I came across!! People make it more difficult than it actually is. Took a little over a half hour. Happy renewals.....Ken
This is not hard...You only need a pulse and the ability to read and comprehend the English language to renew your license.

I renewed mine last week. Took about 10 minutes. Application was approved, and my license was extended for another 10 years the next day.
Guess they have to make up for no longer producing Gordon West products. $45 fee to do you can do for one's self for free.
I must be missing something or my recent renewal didn't actually happen. I'm at a loss of what even vaguely is the problem. Oh, well. Back to the happy-happy-joy-joy of everything Boeing keeps dropping on my plate.
