I actually met, shook hands with, and spoke (translated) for a few moments with Princess Elettra Marconi at the Radio Club of America's annual Awards Banquet (held at the New York Athletic Club (7th floor ballroom?) 180 Central Park South just before Thanksgiving time) who was our Guest of Honor that year back around 1995. he was a popular comedian in the 1970s in the USA, who also was an active ham radio operator.

One of his stories was eventually made into a very very popular Christmas holiday movie, as well.

Just so we. know, Tim Allen --actual name Timothy Dick-- was a drug dealer before he was a comedian/actor and served time in Federal prison for selling cocaine.

Glad he turned his life around...but perhaps we have better role models to list?

BTW his acting in Galaxy Quest was awesome.

As we see, these lists get regurgitated, without fact checking, from time to time. The real issue is relevance... if you compare the present list to older ones, it is dominated by deceased and FORMER hams....and few of the living licensed are active.
