Yaesu FT-757GX Replacement CPU

DO NOT TRASH those Yaesu FT-757GX trasnceivers with a bad CPU !!

HED radio has developed a replacement uProcessor and firmware for the Yaesu FTY-757GX. The original CPU is no longer available from Yaesu.

This work builds upon a earlier replacement effort by Daniel, VK2TRP in 2006.

They also make the Replacement module for IC on Yaesu
counter-unit PB-2086, PB-2098 or PB-3430

This counter / frequency display unit was used on the
Yaesu FT-101ZD MarkII, FT-101ZD MarkIII, FT-107, FT-707, FT-901 (late series) and FT-902 transceivers.

They should also look into making new uPs for the ICOM IC-211, 245, 701, 740, 745 , etc. line that are also very UNOBTANIUM! Many of those are lying DOA because the uPs are Kaput! The 211 has a 40 pin DIP, so that is a convenient package. Newer uPs are SMT packs which would be very difficult for even the best reworkers to replace. We can do it here at the plant, but I wouldn't dare try it at home!
