We're celebrating the addition to the ham community of 6 new hams (simultaneously!) in our tiny rural Wyoming town of Saratoga (population 1600):

    ROB KJ7WCA
    LORI KJ7WCB
    GREG KJ7WCC
    AMON KJ7WCD
    MARY JO KJ7WCE (now WY7GAL)
    JILL KJ7WCF

We'll be operating on SSB phone all weekend May 1st-2nd, all weekend May 8th-9th and May 15th, on 15, 17, 20 and 40m. There may be some JS8Call activity on 20 and 40m.

These hams look forward to your call, and questions / comments about Wyoming are encouraged. Our new hams are interested in hearing how and why you got started in ham radio. We will have several prospective hams on-site, so your enthusiasm will be very much appreciated!

We stayed in the mountains east of Saratoga in 2017, so we could be well placed for a drive to view the total eclipse. The Saratoga locals were darn friendly. There was what appeared to be a huge thrift/antique shop, but it was closed. We were relieved to learn that vegan food was impossible to obtain there:p
