He looks like my long dead father (WA2KMV, SK 1970) who would have been 104 by now. Had to do several double takes.
That is amazing !! when I read about folks like him I wonder about all the things he has seen or experienced, he was 44 when I was born wow !
I have worked Charles many times on 40 and 75 meters. It is always a pleasure, he is quick and bright. Charles checks into our SC SSB NET often on 3.915 and occasionally I hear him on South CARS 7.251 and NIGHT WATCH NET on 7.192. Keep on going Charles! Dennis, Goose Creek, SC
Well done Mr Kayhart. I hope you'll be around for many more years! We have a club member, Worth Gurley W7WG, who is 99 years old. What a treasure! He's forgotten more than we know! He will be 100 years old this coming January. I believe he was licensed in 1935. During WWII he was employed by the FCC listening for subversive or enemy transmissions. He spent his adult life as a teacher for military & government dependents overseas. Lots of stories!
