Whilst everyone in the USA enjoys summer field day, us here in VK have battled through our VHF/UHF winter field day! We have a new van and have levelled up with our radios now all within easy reach and comfort. Check it out!
Very nice! I'm not certain which parts I like the best, the pneumatic mast, all the bands you can work, or the "environmental" controls (heater). Over here we would have needed a portable air conditioner in the van on FD. It was about 102 degrees F. Great setup guys.
GREAT VIEW !! AWESOME!! Nice video!! Keep up the good work!! (The Heater is a nice touch!!) In Arizona it was 118 degrees F.
The things we do for amateur radio hey! The pneumatic mast makes things so much easier! Thanks for watching
I have two jobs here: IT manager and Baroque musician, and my wife is a veterinary technician. Know anyone in Hobart who is hiring and could sponsor our immigration? I would love it no only for the radio activity, but also for the climate. It is as hot as the blazes here for nine months out of the year. Hobart also appears to be beautiful.
Bring back "The Cabover Kilowatt" truck with it's crank up tower holding a full size 2 element quad for 10-15-20, dipoles for 40 & 80, generator and of course the kilowatt amplifier. He also used a setup of quagi antennas for VHF/UHF contests. Now that was a self contained field day station that hit the front cover of QST.
