Warren was Very active as a Net Control of the NYSPTEN
{New York State Phone and Emergency Net}
held at 6:00 PM Eastern Time @ 3.925 "Or There About" as Cookie would say.
He used an older radio {Drake I think} that might not be Exactly on Frequency, but pretty close.

Warren D. Cooke, 86, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Warren was a WWII Navy veteran and held various positions at General Electric during his employment of over 40 years.
Warren was an amateur radio operator and a member of the CNY HOGS.
He was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Iva (Ross) Cooke, in 1985 and his daughter, Yvonne Steves, in 1999.
Survivors: his son, Stephen (Maureen) Cooke of Baldwinsville; sister, Frances Howard of Phoenix; a grandson, Jesse Cooke of Baldwinsville; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be private in Chase Cemetery, town of Lysander. Contributions to a charity of one's choice.
