W9JWT DAVID BURROWS, Dahlonega, Georgia

Tearfully posting the passing of dear friend, Dave Burrows, most recently of Dahlonega, Georgia, on Tuesday May 17, 2011 after a year long battle with throat cancer. W9JWT - Just Wanna Talk

Dave was and is the Poster Man for "A Gentleman and a Scholar." I barely know but a few of Dave's accomplishments in life but I do know he was a submarine driver in the navy, an engineer, physics professor, amateur astronomer and extensive hobbyist in a variety of areas. Dave is survived by wife Joan.

My 80M horizontal Loop will be pulled down to half mast for a month.

Additional: David is scheduled to be interred at Annapolis, Maryland National Cemetery sometime in June

 

Additional, David was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as an engineer and Lieutenant on the submarines U.S.S. Pargo and U.S.S. Patrick Henry in the 1970's
