    [​IMG] [​IMG] Oberlin-Funeral service for Earl L. “Skipper” Morrow, 55, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin. Rev. Louella and Rev. Glen Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in Blackjack Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.
    The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin from 3-9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
    Earl was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen, for thirty one years. He treasured his grandchildren. Earl served our country in the United States Navy for four years. He was the Allen Parish Ward 1 Constable, a volunteer first responder for Fire District #5, member of the American Red Cross, Emergency Coordinator for Allen Parish, as well as a volunteer for Oberlin Police Department for special events. Earl was a ham radio operator; his call sign was W5ELM. He was a member of the American Legion Post 27 of Deridder and Post 144 of Oberlin. He was a member and a deacon of New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church in Longville where he was responsible for live broadcasts and the church webpage. Earl was a man of strong faith and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed yard work, computers, hunting, fishing, and sports. Earl will be laid to rest with full military honors following his services at the Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
    Those left to cherish Earl’s memory include his wife, Karen Marie Doty Morrow, of Oberlin; two sons, Earl Morrow II and wife, Kristen, of Oberlin, and Jordan Morrow, of Oberlin; two brothers, Bobby Daley and wife, Kathy, of Eunice, and Mike Morrow, of Lake Charles; one sister, Dianne Williams, of Elizabeth; and four grandchildren, Peyton, Layla, Paizlee, and Emmah.
    Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Deward and Annie Morrow; one son, Kacey DeWitt Morrow; and one granddaughter, Khloey Morrow.
