A great Amateur Operator. One of the best storm spotters in our area. Howard would be on the tail of a tornado, giving reports to the local EMA in real time. A hard working Family Man that will be missed by all.

 

I knew Howard for about 6 years. He was always at all the area hamfest and always on the air in the mornings on his way to work. My greatest memory of Howard was during last years Tornado event in Ohatchee, He was the first one on scene where a Tornado touched down at the Dolar General store and inploded it. He rode all over the area looking for damage and reporting it to myself and the National Weather Service. Howard was a great operator and will be missed!
