    Clifford J. 'Cliff' Bader of West Chester

    Clifford J. "Cliff" Bader, 75, of West Chester, devoted husband of Elizabeth (nee Coulter), departed this life suddenly on April 22, 2009, at Chester County Hospital.

    Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Clifford Behe Bader and Rebecca Pernet Bader.

    A graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology, he was a successful electrical engineer, amateur astronomer, and adoring grandfather.

    He was a Morse code ham radio operator and a 62-year member of the ARRL (W3NNL).

    He believed in "living simply so others may simply live." His kindness, generosity of spirit, sense of humor, and friendship will be missed by many.

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, John and Christian Bader, daughter, Diana Hoppe (Herb), grandsons, Jonathan Hoppe and Rhory Bader, his brother Frederic L. Bader (Peg), dear cousin, Mary Jo Egoville (John), and many other loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

    Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service, 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd
    Funeral Home, 410 N. Church St, West Chester, PA 610-696-1181 www.drsfh.com.

    Interment will be private. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    W3NNL SILENT KEY

    Cliff was very active in the Third Region CW net for over 50 years. His passing will leave a big gap in the net. I was fortunate to meet Cliff when he attended a net picnic over my home two years ago. Our net members are truly sorry to hear of his passing. Pip WB4FDT 3RN-CW Manager
