WØM Special Event Minnesota Birthday Bash -- Tuesday, May 11, 2021

The South East Metro Amateur Radio Club (SEMARC) of Minnesota, USA, will commemorate the 163rd anniversary of Minnesota statehood with a special event called the “Minnesota Birthday Bash” in Stillwater on May 11. Special Event station WØM will operate from 1500-2100 hours UTC on 20 and 40 meters in voice, CW and FT8.

The location of the special event was selected because of its proximity to the place where a group of Minnesota leaders met in 1848 to write a petition requesting Congress to establish a territory that led to statehood on May 11, 1858.

A certificate for stations contacting WØM will be available after the special event.

I must be dumb or blind. Great semarc site. and looked at most tabs but don't find any info on this. The special events section has many good prior events.... Am originally from Mpls area many decades ago and enjoy all from Metro area and return every few years for a week or so.
