UK Ham Radio TV show TX Factor had just launched its latest edition when they heard the sad news that one of the main contributors to episode 9 had passed away. Clive Ward G1EUC was Chairman of the Essex Repeater Group as well as being the Training Manager for Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society. The activities of the repeater group and the hugely successful CARS programme to introduce new amateurs to the hobby are central to the episode and from his appearance in the show we see that Clive was a man who embodied everything that is good in Amateur Radio. All of us at TX Factor extend our condolences to Clive's family and friends. As a tribute to his passion for Amateur Radio,energy and the hundreds of people he helped to introduce to our amazing hobby we would like to dedicate Episode 9 to the memory of a truly inspirational ham.
