The (K1T) Special Event Station count down to July 23, 2017

The first 200-pack (possibly the only pack I'll need) of K1T QSL cards arrived today. They look very nice. Essentially just a smaller version of the certificate but came out really nice.

Saturday AM I'll start digging into the pile of "QSL card only SASE" requests. SASEs arrive daily in bundles - by Saturday I'll have a nice chunk to start working through. Those requesting the certificate will have to wait a bit longer - that's a more complicated process so I want to hopefully have "all on deck" before sending in the printing order.

But just for those who've sent their SASE just for a QSL card, they will start going out next week.

25 K1T Certificates go in the mail tomorrow along with just under 200 QSL cards... first batch is done.

Just an update for those waiting on their return QSL or their certificate.

Lesson learned: Certificates are a bit of a PITA - I take pride in making them very nice, with all new materials including 2 sheets of card stock to back them, along with custom commercial printing of each one with all the callsign data just like a QSL, and of course also including a QSL. But were I to do another Special Event Station I'm not so sure I'd offer certificates. It really is quite a bit of work - I must imagine that DX-peditions must have to employ a whole staff of people to manage that part.

But rest assured - any who ordered the certificate or the QSL card, what you get will be very high quality. 100% of the QSL cards are hand-filled-out by me and each certificate is custom printed - not just a sticker.

Those awaiting cards and certificates, they're on the way! As of this morning I'm 100% caught up with demand. Of course, now I have to wait for another decent batch of SASE and Cert requests to come in before doing another short printing run.

But 200 QSL cards and about 35 certificates went in the mail today.
