When you get to Wetok, please look for the eyeglasses I lost there. They are black horn-rim with a Diopter of 1.75. I need them for driving.

    FAQ's V73RRC Ujelang Atoll

I would like to thank Freq AA7BQ for publication and all who responded!

    Q: Costs of participation
A: Airfare see Continental.com from nearest airport to you with destination Majuro, check estimated dates December 3-21
plus $2-3k for food/transportation/logging inside Marshall Islands and your regular bills for 2-3 weeks
    Q: Skills required
A: Handling of SSB/CW pileups, extra language in addition to English is a plus (Spanish/French/Japanese)
    Q: Travel documents
A: US passport, non US Citizens may require a visa http://www.visitmarshallislands.com/default.aspx
Q: What so special about Ujelang Atoll and why now?
A: Ujelang atoll is uninhabited island and no regular transportation is available.
We are cooperating with Enewetak-Ujelang Local Government (165ft vessel Lady E) and can tag along for a small donation comparing real costs of chartering of this vessel. Next trip to Ujelang may or may not happen for many years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ujelang_Atoll
We are on their schedule and it is subject to change/cancellation.
    Q: Operating positions
    A: At least two

Eniwetok, a nice place to visit

Spent a glorious 12 mo stay there with the USAF 1253 AACS Sqdn in '59/'60. Lots of swimming, phone patches, swimming, contesting, swimming and operating from KX6BT.
