W6MEO writes "Marion Hall, W6FJY, died of a series of strokes in the Veterans Home, Yountville, CA on 20 October 2000. Marion was 87, born in Brawley,CA, and had been a ham since the early thirties when he got his "Class A"
    ticket.

He worked in electronic telecomm all his life, held FCC first phone and telegraph licenses, and was a true believer in using
Morse code. During the last many bleak months of his life it was
learned that he could still understand and respond to CW, tapped on
his shoulder or sent to him with an oscillator. We miss him."
