    With sorrow, I announce the passing of Paul Poling, K8CKG.

    He died at 0015 UTC of complications due to suspected mesothelioma. He passed in his sleep in the company of his sister, son, and his daughter-in-law.

    He was my grandfather-in-law and one of the people who got me to finally get into the hobby. He even gave me my first radio once I got my license.

    He will be missed.
