Radio operators supporting agencies using the Incident Command System need to recognize forms like the General Message, ICS form 213. That is not enough, however: AUXCOMM, ARES and RACES operators should also understand how to use the systems for message transport. That includes the highly resilient though poorly understood National Traffic System (NTS) and its support nets provided by Radio Relay International (RRI) and independent stations. Here we show how to take an ICS form 213 and to prepare it for transmission through NTS, and then to deliver it at its destination as an ICS 213. Here we demonstrate the origination of a radio message from an ICS 213, talk through the relay process, and then show its delivery back in the form of ICS 213.
