Reflector-less Yagi? Will it work?

Fellow YouTuber, 2E0UKH told me about a 2 element dual-band 2m/70cm beam antenna he built. I was interested in an ultra-portable dual-band Yagi, so I ran with the idea. I sketched it up in MMANA GAL, added a 3rd element, and optimized the design. With a model that looked good, I built it out of arrow shafts, threaded rods, and nylon spacers. The results? Yes a 2ele will work. You can use a director or reflector. Here's a few advantages and disadvantages for both

Hurricane Sandy removed some of the reflector on my 10 meter 5 el.

I still was able to work Yerp on 10 meter AM with a hum from generator power before repair.

So, yes.
