Ha. Good idea. Especially since most cops couldn't operate (or even interpret) something a little more complicated like an Optoelectronics Micro-handi counter with capture/store features.

With my 3000A model, I can find out where they are in a heartbeat, From 10Hz to 3GHz.

Interesting to note what was described as an ongoing Enforcement Bureau investigation.

They've now filed an opposition to my petition and ARRL has responded to the ReconRobotics opposition. Fun reads. I'm preparing a response to their opposition now.

I suppose it's just speculation, but I seem to recall something about affidavits and such in their attorney's words, with respect to the Enforcement Bureau inquiry. Probably something to the effect that he knew nothing about any sales, use, etc, while he was pleading for expedited grant of the waiver. And, he's separating the petition responses from the claims of unlawful conduct to try and keep it out of the public record.

I can imagine just how creative they could get. Probably will blame it on a "former" employee who mistakenly shipped, sold, etc., without upper management's permission. Sure.

Frankly, ignorance of the law and employee misbehavior aren't acceptable excuses. The next move is up to the Commission.

I suspect ARRL is serious enough to go further than the petition process if the FCC doesn't rescind the waiver grant. It certainly should, if what appear to be serious breaches of the Communications Act are allowed to go on un prosecuted.

Their legal squirming is becoming quite evident. Looks like they painted themselves into a corner with the subjective comparisons.

 

Yep. Shooting holes in a technique when it works against them wasn't too swift. They fired with gun in holster and shot themselves in the foot.

 

Deceptive marketing by ReconRobitcs

Hi All,

Without going into the details of my job, I had an opportunity to see a demonstration of ReconRobotics product, as they wanted to sell us one. My work is such that a product like that needs to be highly reliable and uninterrupted.

So, do you think RR told us their product was going to be licensed as a secondary user? Or that this product could be wiped out by another licensed service right down the street, and that there was nothing we could do about it? Nope!!! Not a word. I even made it a point to ask what the frequency range was. The salesman couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me.

The product was inferior at any rate, and we were very much unimpressed with it's feeble capabilities.

This company definately does NOT have my support, nor does their license application.

 

What is Current Status?

I was wanting to know what is current status of all of the Pettitions filed in this matter?
Anyone know what is going on?
