    THAT WAS AN EXPRESSION WE
    USED IN THE NAVY WHEN
    TUNING UP THE TBK ..TBL...TBM

Good Video and entertaining! I have the 20m version coming in the mail any time now. Should be a fun build!

Same here when tuning or "blade tracking" for maximum RF output (max smoke) on the Collins AN/ARC-51 UHF radio.

I stole the expression from a veteran ham in my area, I figured some insider would get the reference and appreciate it. I always say that when tuning my amp up.

Thanks! Please reach out if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help out.

Don't let the smoke out! It's the smoke inside the components that makes them work.

Not sure which band you selected, but I'd be happy to do a QSO with you once it's on the air. My QCX mini (20M) is doing great. I hope you join some of the QRP contests, like NAQCC, QCX Challenge, and so on. I regularly use mine for SST, CWT, and anything I can find. I used it for field day and made lots of contacts. It's a fine little rig and I can't wait to use it for my first SOTA. It has already performed admirable for POTA.

You should enjoy it. Make sure you have a fine point soldering iron, thin solder, and have some desoldering braid handy. You'll probably need a lighted magnifying glass too. Lastly, get a "third hand" to hold the board while you solder.

Give me a shout when you're done to schedule a QCX Mini to QCX Mini QSO!
