J Pole antenna is quite popular among radio amateurs for 2 m and 70 cm bands, that is the VHF and UHF bands. It consists of two segments, one three fourth wavelength segment and a matching stub, which is a parallel shorted matching stub, of quarter wavelength. The portion above that, that is corresponding to the portion beyond the quarter wave, will be a half wave. A search for J pole antenna on QRZ forum did not return any results. May be the search term was not correct. Otherwise I would have expected many results for that search.
I got turned on to End-Fed Zepps (aka J-Pole) back in the 1970's. Here is a simplified explanation I put together for an article on half-wave verticals which I like to use.
Thank you very much for sharing the nice video. In this region, most people go for VHF and UHF J poles as well as the related Slim Jim, which seems to be more popular.
