Back in September I took an opportunity to hit three summits in Oregon's High Desert. Wildly variable weather that day: I got a dusting of snow on Pine Mountain, overcast & high winds on Pine Benchmark, then sun and summer heat on Horse Ridge. I could see it snowing in the Cascades. Had to rely on HF to complete the activations. This a great combo of summits to hit in the area for portable ops. Next year I'd like to spend the night operating on Pine Mountain.
