Piet Garretsen (PE1AZZ) Silent Key On February 27, 2023, Piet Garretsen; PE1AZZ passed away at the age of 76. Piet was very active in building robust antennas for the ten, six and four-meter bands. The sturdiness of his antennas was not inferior to the more expensive commercially offered antennas. He was so enthusiastic about his experiments that he convinced many amateurs to start building their own antennas. Every year at JOTA he made sure that scouting groups could make connections around the world. We wish his loved ones strength in dealing with this loss.
