In the year 2018 we came up with an idea to commemorate the 75 years of freedom laying ahead of us at that time. We decided to take the footsteps of the 82nd Airborne Division and tread them lightly. We can never imagine what they must have been through, but we do thank the man and women of 82nd our freedom today. They, and many others fought hard in WW2 and to honour them, we decided to set up a Dx-pedition alongside their route. In 2019 we started in Dover (UK). We crossed the waters and build up our radio shack on Utah Beach (F). Later that year, we landed in Bastogne (B) to commomorate the battle of the Bulge. Our plan was to push through to the Netherlands, but due to Covid19 everything was canceled. But we will be on the air this year, when rules permit. We are currently planning a major event at Grave, where 82nd landed nearby the bridge over the river Maas during operation Market Garden. They managed to keep the bridge in their hands to make it possible for the Army to cross it on their way north to capture the bridge over river Rhein. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!! Yes...we will be operating in Grave in the weekend of 17, 18, and 19th of september!!! Today we received the go from the mayor to build up the station and bring PA82AD in the air!! Please have a go and try to work us on the bands.... Hope to see you !!!
